Hey y'all! I'm gonna keep this email short and sweet cause I don't have a lot time :) We fasted with Miguel for him to gain a witness of The Book of Mormon and he really enjoyed it! He said "I know that I find myself asking God for answers to a lot of things at times but I feel like I never give Him anything back. It's a small sacrifice compared to what He has done for me." I thought it was really cool that he said that cause I've never really cared too much about fasting, but when I look at it like that it has so much more meaning. Fasting has always been hard for me, but this time I noticed I had more energy and optimism! Miguel told us later on too that he has been more dedicated to reading The Book of Mormon every morning since the fast! He may not have gained his witness yet but he's progressing and I'm sure he'll get there! Hey everyone! I hope y'all have had a good week. Here's some random stuff that happened during mine: - A guy asked us if we wanted to smoke weed with him as we were riding by on our bikes so that was funny haha. - I fell into the road while biking and almost got hit by a car... oops. I promise I'm being safe Mom!! - I've been on two exchanges in the Spanish branch now and it's been pretty fun! The food the members fed us was really good, except for the jalapeño that I was peer pressured into eating.  - Our friend Daron ranted to us for 45 minutes on the phone. We lost connection in the middle of it and he thought we hung up on him so he sent a really angry text. We called him back and he just went on like nothing happened so we were really confused. He's kinda crazy though so it makes sense. - We met two families and a few other people that seem really interested in hearing a message, so I'm excited about that!  We met this guy named Jesse a few weeks ago an...

Howdy y'all! This week was much better than the last few so I'm pretty happy about that.  When we moved our couch was taken away because apparently they aren't allowed anymore (idk why) but we got some nice ikea chairs from the moving elders so now we have comfy chairs to sit in!! I got to drive for the first time since I started my mission!! We're in a carshare with the other elders we live with but we never take the car because their area is bigger. We had somewhere to go real quick though so they let us take the car. Elder Iverson is in his last transfer so he's not allowed to drive because of legal precautions so I got to drive! It was only for like 10 minutes but I enjoyed it very much. Elder Iverson and I were heading out to go street contacting and this lady called over to us and asked if we could help her bring some boxes up to her apartment. Hey everyone!      This last week was honestly super crappy, but it ended so good!     First off, I forgot to mention my favorite person, Tim Tardo! I was on an exchange with Elder Jolstead about 2 weeks ago and we were riding on our bikes and then a car pulls up and this guy says, "What is the gospel?" I immediately knew this guy just wanted to bash but Elder Jolstead is very new and I don't think he knew what was about to happen. So long story short... Elder Jolstead and Tim Tardo kinda went at it for a few minutes and it was honestly kind of entertaining. Elder Jolstead soon figured out that this dude was not gonna listen to us, so we gave him our phone number and said we'd love to talk if he was truly open to learning more about our religion and we went on our merry way. The next day Tim called and left a message. Elder Iverson decided to look him up on area book and finds out this dude has tried to bible bash with missionaries before... so we haven't called...
