Week 2: Jesus, Quotes, And Shenanigans

Image
Hey everyone!   So much has happened this week but it's also gone by super fast! We've taught a lot of lessons and done a ton of role play this week. I still get pretty nervous when I have to teach but I've noticed I'm getting better. Also Elder Harper and I will be teaching a guy named Austin a few times next week so that's exciting! Elder Harper is more of a go with the flow kind of guy when it comes to teaching and I'm a planner/overthinker, so I think we're both learning a lot from each other.    Next week is my last week of MTC and then I head out to San Antonio on July 7th! He will not abandon you and He will help you become the amazing missionary you're capable of being." When they said this it made me tear up. After my first day I was feeling overwhelmed and anxious about this huge life-changing decision and what they said was exactly what I needed to hear. I want all of you to know that God is aware of YOU and you can feel his l...

Getting Set Apart

Trevor Bach Christensen by the authority of the Melchesideck priesthood we lay our hands upon your head and set you apart as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, assigned to serve in the Texas, San Antonio Mission. Elder Christensen at this time we give you a blessing of confidence and assurance that this calling comes from our father in heaven. I bless you to be able to feel very distinctly the promptings of the spirit and personal revelation regarding your missionary activities. I bless you that you will see those around you as our father in heaven sees them, as his sons and daughters. I bless you that you will build strong relationships on your mission with your companions, with your mission president and his special wife, most of all with your family who is at home. You will find that you will grow closer to them through this service. I bless you to follow their counsel, to be able to speak with them and have your spirits lifted as you do so. I...
