Getting Set Apart
Trevor Bach Christensen by the authority of the Melchesideck priesthood we lay our hands upon your head and set you apart as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, assigned to serve in the Texas, San Antonio Mission. Elder Christensen at this time we give you a blessing of confidence and assurance that this calling comes from our father in heaven. I bless you to be able to feel very distinctly the promptings of the spirit and personal revelation regarding your missionary activities. I bless you that you will see those around you as our father in heaven sees them, as his sons and daughters. I bless you that you will build strong relationships on your mission with your companions, with your mission president and his special wife, most of all with your family who is at home. You will find that you will grow closer to them through this service. I bless you to follow their counsel, to be able to speak with them and have your spirits lifted as you do so. I bless you to have physical strength on your mission, that your body will be able to endure the rigors of missionary work, but also I bless you with spiritual strength. Your Father in Heaven will require you and expect you to forward his work at certain times and certain locations. I bless you to recognize these locations and times. Prepare yourself to step forward and do whatever our Father in Heaven has in mind for you. I bless you to be led to the homes and to the places people are who have been prepared to hear the gospel. I bless you to love the scriptures and to make them apply to you personally. Teaching others the things you have learned in the scriptures will be one of the most rewarding experiences you will have as you see their lives change through your example and the words you speak. I bless you with firmness of purpose, with wisdom, with love for the people around you, with the ability to see into the future regarding your activities. I bless you on your mission that the veil will be very thin. I bless you to sense the urgency of this work. I bless you with the love of the Savior and to feel him beside you in this work. These things I bless you with in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.
