Week 93: Training Again!

I got a call from Mission President yesterday... I'm training again! This will probably be my last companion!

We saw many many miracles this week! We put two more people on date for baptism. The first one is an 11 year old girl named Kimiko. Her mom is a member and is starting to come back to church! The second one is Charity. She is very very excited to be baptized! It's hard to get in contact with her sometimes though and she didn't make it to church yesterday so please pray for her!!

We now have 5 people on baptismal date, which is the most I've ever had at once. It's a little stressful haha.

Here's a few other things that happened this week:
- Got kicked out of Charity's apartment complex by some mean maintenance guy
- We started teaching Chris's fiance, Rachelle, over zoom and we've had some awesome lessons!
- Biked 10 million miles
- We got a media referral from a guy named Clarence. When we called him he really wanted to meet but his wife in the back told him we're a cult and to not talk to us. Then the next day he called us back and said he still wants to meet. We had a lesson with him at a dairy queen and a member happened to be there??? We introduced them so that was pretty cool. God is good.
- A drunk lady hit on me
- Logan, Cynthia, and Robert from Pleasanton got baptized this week as well!! All my friends in Pleasanton are getting baptized and I'm so happy.

As it comes closer to Easter my thoughts have been directed to our Savior's infinite sacrifice for us. Elder Holland said: "It is my personal belief that in all of Christ’s mortal ministry the Father may never have been closer to His Son than in these agonizing final moments of suffering. Nevertheless, that the supreme sacrifice of His Son might be as complete as it was voluntary and solitary, the Father briefly withdrew from Jesus the comfort of His Spirit, the support of His personal presence. It was required, indeed it was central to the significance of the Atonement, that this perfect Son who had never spoken ill nor done wrong nor touched an unclean thing had to know how the rest of humankind—us, all of us—would feel when we did commit such sins. For His Atonement to be infinite and eternal, He had to feel what it was like to die not only physically but spiritually, to sense what it was like to have the divine Spirit withdraw, leaving one feeling totally, abjectly, hopelessly alone. .... Brothers and sisters, one of the great consolations of this Easter season is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so."

Jesus Christ truly descended below all things. Because of this he's able to know all things and give us aid when we are in our lowest of lows. Come unto Him, He will give you rest.
