Week 91: T - 100 Days
Tomorrow is 100 days until I return home. I know I keep talking about it but I seriously don't know how to handle this information hahaha. I have loved and am loving my mission. I wouldn't change it for anything. Being a missionary has brought me more joy than I could ever imagine.
We had an impromptu lesson with this guy named James and his roommate Marlet. It was in their creepy dark apartment and they were VERY expressive people so it got crazy up in there haha. It was scary and entertaining at the same time. They seemed to like us though cause they said we could come back.
We met a lady named Charity tracting and she's really cool! She was planning on coming to church but she got called into work :( She's always really happy to hear from us though and is reading the Book of Mormon!
We had a really powerful lesson with our new friends Jacob and Carlos. Their desire is to come closer to Jesus Christ and be baptized someday! I hope we can help them get there. Before we left their house, Jacob told us that we have the fountain of living water (Jesus Christ) with us and brought a light into his home. It made me so happy that God was able to use us as a means to help them feel the Spirit. And it was even cooler that Jacob recognized it.
We also had a lesson with a man named Scott that has been taught since October of 2021. We were bold with him and asked if he comes to know that the Book of Mormon is true will he get baptized? He said he would and that he's in a better place in his life to receive an answer from God!
Oh! And we met a lady named Felicia from Nigeria that is interested in baptism but she can't make it to church right now because she runs a group home and there's no one to help her. Pray that they will hire someone to help out so she can come to church!
Luke 18:27 says, "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."
Since being in this new area I have seen so much progress with the people we're teaching and finding new people. I have seen God work so many miracles and help us accomplish things we could've never done on our own. Never doubt what the Lord can do when you have faith in Him! The opportunities and miracles are endless.
