Week 52: One Year
This week I hit my 1 year mark! Isn't that crazy?? I'm growing up too fast
Last week was a little slower because of transfers so nothing too exciting happened but here are a few successes:
☆ I got a new companion and he's cool
☆ I didn't crash the truck on our 3 hour drive from San Antonio to Del Rio
☆ We had a lesson with a guy named Frank and he started crying during his prayer and told us after that he just wants to get closer to God and he wants us to help him. Uhhh yeah that's literally my full time job right now so I'm down.
☆ The Castañedas came to church and Cesar is going on the young men's campout this week! Talk about fellowship!!
☆ Some of our members brought their friends to church!! Let's go!!
☆ I've avoided getting heat stroke... barely
☆ We had a lesson with some inactive members and they want us to help them get to the temple. Oh and they fed us pizza
During my mission I've definitely had a fair share of trials, disappointments, sadness, and regrets, but I've also had an immense amount of joy and blessings. My mom has always told me that if nothing but my own conversion comes from my missionary service then it's a success. It's taken some time and faith testing experiences but I can honestly say that I am converted to Jesus Christ. There have been times when I've wanted to go home and others when I never wanted it to end. Through it all I have grown as an individual and learned that God truly loves us, even when we can't recognize it. I am so grateful for my mission and especially for my Savior, Jesus Christ. I could not have made it this far without His grace and patience with me. Here's to one more year!
