Week 35: Comp #12??
Update: Elder Taylor went home to serve a service mission and I got a new companion, Elder Neddo! If I count all the trios I've been in, Elder Neddo is my 12th companion. Elder Taylor left on Wednesday morning so I got put in a trio (which resulted in us covering 5 wards at once ) until Friday afternoon when I finally got my official companion haha.
On Friday Elder McKay, a general authority seventy, visited our mission and gave some awesome trainings! He really inspired me to lose myself in the work and let Christ change me! I feel like I have not been putting in as much effort as I could lately, so I'm ready to be all in and give my will to God.
We delivered and assembled beds for people in need on Saturday! We went to the south side of San Antonio which was pretty sketch but it made me so happy to see the smile on the kids faces when we showed them their new beds. Service is the best!
A bunch of other stuff happened this week including exchanges with the assistants, giving a training in district council, volleyball with the youth, and the consumption of a large amount of potatoes (I think all the members here are feeding me potatoes because they heard I'm from Idaho). It's been a really hard/weird/random week but I think my life will be a bit more stable now that I'm settled in with Elder Neddo.
Scripture of the week is brought to you from my training on hope this week!
Moroni 7:41
"And what is it that ye shall hope for? Behold I say unto you that ye shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise."
Because of Jesus Christ, we can have hope for a better life, a better world, lasting happiness, and one day being able to live with God again. Let that hope motivate you and be that light to others.
