Week 24: Turkey Trottin'
We met an elderly woman named Mary the other day and did some service for her! We never get to do service around here so I really enjoyed it. She has like a million plants around her house so we just helped her clean up in the backyard. Hopefully we can go back over again soon.
We volunteered for the Bulverde Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving and it was so fun! We helped hand out bags for the runners before the race and then we directed and cheered them on along the path! I don't care what anyone says, we were the best cheerleaders and I know it.
After Thanksgiving dinner we didn't really have anything to do so we wrote gratitude cards for some of our members and then went and dropped them off. It was honestly so fun and it made me really happy!
We met a lot of cool people the past couple days. We met this guy named Lajeric while he was out barbecuing for his family and we had an awesome conversation with him! He said he just recently came back to Christianity and is really turning his life around. He said he usually wouldn't be open to talking but we caught him at just the right time, so we set up a time to come visit again. Yeah baby!
I just wanted to remind y'all to participate in Light the World! Just a small act of service can such a big difference in someone's life. So get out there and light the world!! It'll bring you so much joy!
