Week 21: Zone Monkey Round 4

I'm getting transferred to Summerglen Hills in the Hill Country Zone! I'll be really close to the temple so that's cool! I'll also be the zone monkey (companion of the zone leader) for the 4th time... yaaaayyy. Not that zone leaders are bad!! They are just usually preoccupied with zone leader responsibilities which results in me sitting around or having to make decisions/do things on my own. I've been doing this my whole mission so far though, so I'm pretty used to it.

Elder Gonzales and I chased down an ice cream truck last Wednesday even though it was like 50⁰ outside haha. A nice old woman was outside getting ice cream at the same time as us and she turned to us and said, "Well have you decided yet? Because I'm about to pay". So she bought our ice cream!! How nice!!

We filmed the music video for Joseph's Lullaby on Tuesday so catch me going viral on Facebook once the video is done!! (Jk that would be scary)

We passed this homeless man on the sidewalk and he stopped us and asked if we could find out when the next bus was coming. So we helped him out and he said he stopped us because he knew we were Mormon and would help him. It was pretty cold that day so we ran over to our apartment complex clubhouse and made some hot chocolate and brought it over to him as well. He was super grateful and it really brightened my day.

A lady pulled up next to us on the street yesterday and insisted that we take some money because her neighbors are members of our church and she knew that it would be helpful. People have seriously been so nice this week!

Scripture of the week:
3 Nephi 13:19-21
"19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and thieves break through and steal;
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
I love these scriptures because it really helps me evaluate where my priorities are. It's so easy to get distracted and forget what's most important in life, but the scriptures really help refocus us on things of eternal value. So read the scriptures!! It'll bless your life tremendously.
