Week 11: Josephine Smith

Hey y'all! There wasn't much that happened this week, once again, but there's a few things worth mentioning:

On my exchange with Elder Taylor we met with a man named Ron and taught him about the plan of salvation. He really connected with it and liked what we said. We gave him a Book of Mormon and he asked us to dedicate it so we wrote our names and testimonies inside! 

On Friday we helped Chastity (one of the office ladies that works at our apartment complex) hand out notices to some of the residents here. It was raining really hard, so when we were driving around water was pouring off of the golf cart and falling on us haha. It was fun though.

A few weeks ago Elder Iverson and I talked to this girl at a gas station that was having trouble with her car. We ended up getting her number and we've been in contact with her ever since, but we haven't been able to schedule an appointment. We called on Saturday and she said she's moving to Houston, but is definitely interested in hearing a message!! She said she'll be back in town next Saturday and can meet us at Starbucks!!

Austin's step dad has made some allegations against him so now he's under an investigation. We rescheduled his baptism for this coming Sunday but since he's under investigation we may need to push his baptism back again :( 

My mom referred an old friend from middle school to us!! Go Mom!! We had a lesson with her yesterday over zoom and it was great! Sadly her internet stopped working soon after we started but my mom was able to join so that was awesome! 

Elder Tomlinson fed a stray cat in our backyard last night and got it to come into our apartment haha. We named her Josephine Smith and found out this morning she also has a baby. So I guess were like adopting stray cats now.

4. Braeden, my brother-in-law, was in San Antonio so he was able to visit me!!
