Week 6: Faith And Hard Work Pays Off

Hey everyone!

Honestly I don't remember much that happened this week. I was always so confused when missionaries said they didn't remember what happened during the week, but now I understand cause it's happening to me haha.

Here are a few things I do remember:

I went on two exchanges this last week and I'm going on another one soon! So I've basically been packing and unpacking my stuff everyday haha. I'm really getting to know the Elders in my zone though so that's been super fun.

We did more service this week and when we were bringing the lawnmower back we saw a lady writing down the scriptures and questions we wrote on the sidewalk the day before, so we went and talked to her. She's from Africa and didn't know English very well but she seemed really interested, so she wrote down our number and our names!

We visited a guy named Fabian that has been meeting with the missionaries off and on for years. He asked me if I was in the chess club in high school, so apparently I look like a nerd haha. He also talked about how he hates China and taught us how to beat people up. He's an interesting dude.

We had two families come to church this Sunday!! No one came last Sunday, but this week we really put in the work and had the faith to accomplish our goals. We went to this apartment complex to stop by someone and we decided to knock some doors as well. We prayed to know where to knock and we felt that we should knock all the doors in one of the buildings. We weren't having any luck, but we kept going and then we found Joe!! He said he would be interested in meeting with us on Wednesday!! Yesterday we prayed to know which people to visit and we felt that we should go stop by some interested people's houses. At our first stop this lady named Elsa asked us if we could help her with her genealogy and yard work so that was super cool! We were truly lead by the spirit to these people and I'm so grateful for that.

This week I learned that miracles come from having faith and putting in the work. God loves effort and he recognizes the hard work we're putting in. Sometimes the miracles will be small, but if you look for them I know you'll see God's hand and blessings in your life.
