Week 5: God Is There!!

Wow this week has been crazy. We did some service and let me tell ya... I have never sweat so much in my entire life. This Texas heat is really somethin'. Every time a breeze came or the clouds covered the sun, I took that as a tender mercy from God, haha.

We had exchanges this week so I had to lead out the area! I was kinda scared at first cause I just got here and I have no idea where anything is or who the people we're teaching are, but God definitely helped me figure it out and it ended up working out really well. Elder Knight and I had a really good lesson with a guy named Mondo and his wife Dena. We invited them to read in the Book of Mormon and we're gonna meet with them again on Wednesday!!

We've taught a lot of lessons this week and they've all gone pretty well! Being on the mission is hard, but when I see the light in someone's eyes when I tell them about God's plan it makes it all worth it.

Elder Iverson and I were also asked by our mission president to test out tracting again for our mission. They haven't done it since covid started, so that's been fun!

The scripture for the week is Psalm 28:7
"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him."
This scripture has meant a lot to me this week because it's been super exhausting, but I have felt Heavenly Father helping me along the way and making it possible for me to accomplish everything I need to. When I'm biking sometimes I feel like my legs can't take it anymore or when I'm in a lesson and I don't know what to say, God helps me. And I know he can help you too if you trust in him!!

I hope y'all have an amazing week!
